You know Dory as a friend. There’s more than meets the eye with that girl. She’s strong—stronger than anyone I’ve ever fuckin’ met. And there’s more to that plating than you can actually see with your eyes. 
                    She guards her heart. And I try to do the same, but she completely disarms me. It’s…shit, now I’m rambling.} 

That and we weren’t together at the time.
         And well, you just didn’t see what happened when I went home on a night 
                   [ There’s an unabashed grin, a slight shrug of his shoulders - he might have been pining for Bones during that period but he wasn’t dead. They were just flings to pass the time ]
                 I’m not sure I deserve… all of that. Everything I have. Still waiting on the other shoe to drop, you know?

                       I might know her as a friend, but I know her. She’d not waste her time with you if she didn’t think you were something special. James, she cares about you– I’d go as far as to say she… probably loves you. I mean– I’m guessing she does. 
       [ there’s a light chuckle and he’s nodding, more than a little familiar with that feeling himself ] 
           It’s kinda worth it at times though, huh?
